Instruction is done for the purpose / s of working with individual and / or small groups of students with special and diverse cognitive, physical and behavioral needs in a positive learning environment that allows for students' personal physical, social and cognitive development.
- Turn ln lesson plans on a weekly basis to Lead Teacher (as requested)
- Attend planning / teacher preparation meetings with team and TCS Director
- Prepare and present materials, work samples, and lessons to review and discuss at planning meetings with Lead Teacher
- Monitor and chart progress for appropriate curriculum as advised by Lead Teacher
- Instruct and lead teaching assistant in classroom responsibilities
- Attend meetings with parents / guardians at a minimum of two times per school year
- Assist students with daily living skills and medically necessary accommodations (i.e. tube feeding, tube venting, suctioning, toileting / diaper needs and feeding).
- Attend TCS and Easter Seals meetings as specified by Lead Teacher and / or TCS Director
