Hospitalist - Nurse Practitioner OR Physician Assistant - St. Cloud Hospital
As a Hospitalist at St. Cloud Hospital you will be part of an important team that provides patient care- 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
You will have the privilege of seeing patients who are counting on you to be readily available to them and their family members to provide care, answer questions and offer resources.
The provider hired into this role will join our hospitalist team of 55 physicians and 10 Advanced Practice Providers.
SCHEDULE : 0.9 FTE - 12-hour shifts between the hours of 6 : 00am-6 : 30pm and 11 : 00 am-11 : 30pm. Every 3rd weekend and rotating holidays.
EDUCATION :
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing required Upon Hire
- Masters or doctorate degree in nursing with formal training as a nurse practitioner in the same specialty area of practice in which they are certified Upon Hire
EXPERIENCE :
3 years direct patient care experience (RN or NP) in an acute care environment such as Critical Care, ER, Hospital Medicine (Hospitalist) or other inpatient specialty required.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS :
- Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Minnesota Upon Hire Required
- Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the State of Minnesota Upon Hire Required
- Certified as a Nurse Practitioner in area of specialty. Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider card required per established policy. Required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) 6 months Required
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS :
- Demonstrated competence in teaching, organization, leadership, communication and research Upon Hire
- Memorandum of understanding as outlined by the Board of Nursing Upon Hire
- Successful completion of medical staff office credentialing must be completed prior to working without a preceptor.
- Successful completion of third-party payor credentialing must be completed prior to billing for services.

Our Advanced Practice Hospitalists work autonomously on the Observation Unit and work collaboratively with the hospitalist physicians on medical units, progressive units, neuro units, cardiac care units and bone and joint units.
