We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will lead our accounting team in distinctive role encompassing the supervisor of bookkeepers across diverse industries including car dealerships, real estate, and bakery stores.

The individual will have proven expertise in managing financial activities within these unique sectors and possess strong leaderships skills.

This role involves overseeing day-to-day financial operations, ensuring compliance, and preparing accurate and timely financial statements.

Job Duties :

Analyzing and Validating financial data, reconciling specific general ledger accounts, and executing various month-end closing activities for corporate location.

Additionally, they will extend support to other business entities.

• Supervise and provide crucial assistance to bookkeepers, contributing to month-end closure, bank reconciliation, and the review of financial statements.
• Offer guidance and mentorship to JR Accounting staff, fostering their professional development and career growth.
• Participate in the preparing of federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals, businesses, and entities.
• Conduct in-depth research on tax issues, interpret tax regulations, and offer recommendations to minimize tax liabilities.
• Manage general ledger accounts reconciliation, journal entry preparing, and necessary adjustments.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and system enhancements to streamline financial operations, enhancing overall efficiency.

Qualifications :

The ideal candidate should possess the following skills :

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2 + years in corporate accounting or public accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
• Proficient in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis and reporting.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
• Quickbooks experience is a plus.
