Key Position Details :
Allina Health Minneapolis Heart Institute is seeking a Cardiology Advanced Practice Provider to join the practice.
- 625 FTE position. 10 hour work days. Will work 5 days in a 2 week pay period.
- Position is located in Eden Prairie
- 100% outpatient practice. Monday - Friday position. No weekends, no call and no holidays.
- Role supports general cardiology patients. Clinics are located in metro locations.
- EMR : Epic is one of the most comprehensive electronic health record (EHR) systems in the nation.
Job Description :
Principle Responsibilities :
- Completes comprehensive patient assessments.?
- Consults with physician when patient needs outside of Nurse Practitioner scope of practice, diagnosis or treatment plan is unclear.
- Participates in health care team.
- Promotes communication within the team and other interdisciplinary health care staff.
- Acts as resource to members of the team.
Required Qualifications
Master's degree - Completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant program.
Preferred Qualifications
New graduates may be considered. Prefer minimum 2 years experience in cardiology or ICU.
Licenses / Certifications
- Certification as a Physician Assistant - NCCPA -National Commission Certification of Physician Assistants upon hire required or Certified Nurse Practitioner (ANCC) - American Nurse Credentialing Center or (AANP) American Association for Nurse Practitioners required upon hire.
- Licensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required upon hire (NP candidates).
- Active MN NP / PA license (or ability to obtain).
- BLS certification required with in 180 days of hire.
- Ability to meet criteria / qualifications for credentialing and hospital privileges.
- Ability to obtain and / or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI).
