Duties and Responsibilities :
- Conduct motion practice, including drafting and arguing motions.
- Oversee discovery processes, including document review and production.
- Prepare detailed and persuasive legal briefs.
- Prepare company witnesses for depositions.
- Take and defend depositions as required.
- Attend court appearances and represent clients effectively.
- Interact with clients to provide updates and manage expectations.
- Participate in trial preparation and strategy.
- Actively engage in trial proceedings, including presenting evidence and arguments.
Requirements :
- 3-5 years of litigation experience.
- Background in defense, particularly in catastrophic injury cases.
- Experience in the automotive industry is advantageous.
- Proven experience in case management, including fact investigation and discovery.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong oral advocacy skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines.
Education :
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications :
Admission to practice law in Texas is required.
