About The Position

Job Title : Critical Care Registered Nurse

Profession : Registered Nurse

Shift : Day 4x12-Hour

Hours per Shift : 12

Experience :

Must have experience with multiple ICU units, including Neuro ICU, Cardiothoracic, Burn ICU, and Trauma Surgery.

ICU experience with adult populations is required.

Traveler must have experience in an academic Level 1 Trauma center.

Successfully completed travel assignment (13 weeks).

Traveler must have completed two years of acute care experience within the last three years.

License :

Traveler must have a nursing license valid in their permanent address state or a compact license.

Certifications :

BLS and ACLS certifications must be through the American Heart Association only.

Must-Have :

Telemetry experience with basic arrhythmia knowledge.

Traveler will be required to pass a telemetry test prior to being cleared to start.

Description :

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team.

The ideal candidate enjoys working in a Magnet-certified facility and a Level 1 Trauma Center.

The role includes growing your career in an academic learning environment.

Candidates should appreciate the autonomy and flexibility of working in various critical care settings.

The job requires participation in Shared Governance.

Travelers will be first to float and may have shifts scheduled in multiple units depending on staffing needs.

If the primary unit no longer has a need, shifts will be reassigned to another unit.

Telehealth competency will be required during the assignment.

Passing criteria must be met with a telemetry exam before starting.

Traveler will have two attempts to pass the exam.

A passing score of 80% or higher is required.

If the traveler does not pass after two attempts, the contract may be canceled.

Travelers need to have an active telemetry competency on file.

Specialty skills in managing arterial lines and ventilated patients are essential.

Flexibility in meeting job requirements is crucial.

Continuous professional growth in various intensive care areas is expected.

Support from interdisciplinary teams will be provided within the unit.

This position involves caring for adult and geriatric patients with complex medical needs.
