POSITIONSUMMARY : The Biostatistician and Research RegulatorySpecialist will play a dual role in our Research department.
Thisindividual will provide biostatistical expertise to support thedesign, analysis, and interpretation of data for research, qualityimprovement, and performance improvement projects.
They will alsoensure that these projects, as well as clinical trials taking placewithin the department, comply with regulatory requirements andguidelines.
Requirements
MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS :
EDUCATION : Bachelor'sdegree in biostatistics, statistics, epidemiology, public health orrelated field.
CERTIFICATION / LICENSES : Certificate of training in Good Clinical Practicemust be completed within 1 month of hire.
SKILLS :
- Proficient in programming and application of commonstatistical methods in medical and clinical research, such as SAS,STATA, R or another commonly accepted analytical programminglanguage.
- Proficiency in using computerdatabases, spreadsheets and word processing software, andelectronic health systems used in research environment, or have awillingness to learn and demonstrate proficiency within six monthsof hire
- Requires excellent oral and writtencommunication skills
- Requires excellentorganizational skills and some knowledge of federal legislationregarding human subject research and the provision of health care
- Proficient in organizing and examiningdata
- Must be able to produce clear and conciseproducts
- Must be thorough in gathering andreporting information
- Must be flexible and beable to relate well with a variety of people.
EXPERIENCE : Threeyears of experience in performance improvement, clinical research,public health or a healthcare related field required.

General office environment,frequent contact with patients, VDT exposure.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS : Longperiods of sitting at times. Keyboard usage with soundergonomic principles. Must be flexible in work schedule andwilling to travel between research sites
