Reports to : Senior Director of Industry Strategy

FLSA Status : Full Time, Exempt

Hiring range : $55,000 - $62,000

About this Position

We are searching for a skilled Industry Liaison to oversee the Partner4Work Manufacturing Industry Partnership. The Manufacturing Liaison will be responsible for building and maintaining beneficial relationships with various advanced manufacturing organizations, including chambers of commerce, industry associations, training providers, and employers.

The ideal candidate will be able to work and communicate effectively across cross-functional teams, to develop and implement strategies to establish and maintain relationships with manufacturing organizations, community partners, and the public workforce system.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Act as a point of contact for collaborative efforts involving the Manufacturing Industry Partnership.
  • Work with the Director of Industry Strategy to develop and implement strategies to establish and maintain relationships with manufacturing organizations.
  • Collaborate with industry partners and employers to determine the need to scale existing or develop new training programs to meet business and industry needs.

Assist in program development.

  • Continually develop / revise industry-vetted skills map and workplace competencies for in-demand occupations in the manufacturing industry.
  • Coordinate with industry partners and employers to determine high demand programs in existence and how best the workforce system can leverage them.
  • Identify opportunities for collaboration, growth, and improvement of workforce development initiatives within the regional manufacturing industry.
  • Connect employers and provide them with guidance and support to navigate the public workforce system programs, services, and resources.
  • Provide regular reports on industry trends, updates, and key developments.
  • Represent the workforce board at industry events, conferences, and meetings as required.
  • Collaborate with the Communications Team to develop and participate in the delivery of public information efforts and targeted outreach.
  • Understand the business problem, identify complex issues, prepare and execute a planned approach for one or more lines of business initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

P4W Ambassador

  • Contributes to the development of a supportive and collaborative work environment through active participation in internal collaborations, team, and activities.
  • Provide a high level of customer service for existing and prospective program partners through transparent, accessible, and open dialogue about the organizations strategy and prospective projects.

Valued Skills and Experience

  • Great communication skills and the ability to work in a hybrid environment utilizing communication tools such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and G-Suite.
  • Two years of relevant experience in the manufacturing industry or adjacent roles.
