Maintenance Technician
POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for maintaining equipment associated with the production, and distribution of products through preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance.
Ensures efficient operations and compliance of brand standards through manufacturing equipment optimization.
Schedule for this position is Monday-Friday 6 : 30 am-3 : 00 pm. Potential for on-call schedule. Schedules are subject to change with business needs.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform site inspections and preventative maintenance, care, and upkeep of grounds, buildings equipment, and machines to ensure effective operations.
- Proficiencies in the assembly, disassembly and installation of mechanical systems and components commonly found on high-speed rotating equipment and safe execution of rigging and large equipment transportation.
- Troubleshoot and perform equipment repairs
- Communicate with customer as to what work was completed and / or what the next steps will be to complete the job
- Assist in the development of preventative maintenance programs for properties and equipment including performing preventative maintenance, determining scheduling frequency, and development of procedures
- Educate on basic preventative maintenance procedures and adjustments to settings to improve efficiency
- Read blueprints and related technical literature as required. Fabricate parts from blueprints and sketches.
- Follow company guidelines on safety and environmental procedures. Maintains a safe worksite according to OSHA rules. Communicates immediately about any safety concerns
- Assist in inventory management and shipping / receiving as needed.
- Actively participate in Process Improvement
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Degree or Equivalent.
- Completed a Mechanical / Electrician Apprenticeship program, or an Associate's Degree or greater in a Mechanical / Electrical field, with a minimum of three (3) years' experience, OR equivalent Military Education / Training, OR 7+ years' experience as a Maintenance Mechanic / Electrician in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Experience with high speed manufacturing and converting equipment.
- Understanding of predictive, preventative maintenance concepts and commitment to continuing education.
- Excellent communication, leadership, self-motivation, problem solving, decision-making skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities with a willingness and commitment to work as part of a collaborative team.
- Able to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Able to tolerate, at times, the smell of gas and paint
- Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driver policy requirements
- Must be 19 years or older if required to drive our company fleet vehicles
