Manufacturing Engineering Manager - Foundry

Our client is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Manager-Foundry to work in their facility located in Mapleton, IL .
S / He will provide day-to-day technical foundry operations support by leveraging process expertise, implementing tooling development, and continuous improvements to operational safety, quality, efficiency, and cost management.Responsibilities
- Leadership over manufacturing engineering team.
- Mentoring and development of direct reports including manufacturing engineers and production non-traditional roles.
- Accountable for value stream goals.
- Alignment with operations on people, quality, velocity, and cost targets for full value stream foundry and machine shop.
- Responsible for actively recruiting and continuing to build a strong performing team.
- Continuous improvement project leadership.
Qualifications
- 4-year college degree in an appropriate engineering or technical discipline with 7 years of progressive manufacturing experience, or equivalent 15 years of progressive manufacturing experience.
- Direct leadership, project leadership, or team lead experience required.
- Foundry or machining process experience required.
- Experience leading a team of 5 or more with hire / fire responsibilities is required.
- Experience mentoring and cultivating internal talent is strongly desired.
- Strong analytical skills coupled with excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and interpersonal) are required.
- Experience working within a diverse work culture is a plus.
