About The Position
- Job Title : Respiratory Therapist Job Specialty : Cardiopulmonary / Sleep Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 7pm-7am, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week, every other weekend Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Experience : Minimum 3 years of previous experience;
- 2 years of NICU and 2 years of PICU experience required License : Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required Certifications : NRP, BLS through AHA required;
PALS, RRT-NPS preferred Must-Have : Minimum 2 years of NICU and PEDS specific experience Job Description : Perform EPIC charting, Bubble CPAP, HFJV, HFOV, Conventional Ventilation, deliveries, surfactant delivery, and intubations.
- Conduct adult aerosol treatments, PEP, Vibratory PEP, Incentive Spirometry, BIPAP-CPAP, CPT, cough assist, and trach care.
- Utilize EPIC and general equipment associated with respiratory care for treatment modalities.- Participate in hospital orientation, aggression management class, EMR training, and NICU orientation.
- Additional Information : Employee will work independently during external transport procedures (average time 3.8 hours);
no on-call required.- Dress code involves wearing black scrubs; surgical scrubs are provided when in the unit.- Orientation includes one week of hospital orientation, EMR training, and NICU training.
Please note that NRP certification must be completed if the traveler remains at the facility for longer than 5 months.
