Salary : $26.68 - 35.91 (Based on licensure & experience; incentive pay available) with full benefits!

Position Overview
The Intake Therapist is responsible for providing a welcoming and comprehensive clinical assessment experience for individuals seeking behavioral health services. This role involves working with children, adolescents, and adults to determine service eligibility, identify treatment needs and preferences, and connect clients to appropriate internal or community-based services. Services are primarily delivered in-office, through scheduled or walk-in appointments.
Responsibilities
- Conduct intake assessments and complete documentation within 48 hours.
- Gather information from consumers, family members, prior records, and other relevant sources.
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to identify needs and readiness for change.
- Provide clients and families with information on available support and treatment options.
- Initiate person-centered planning consistent with Medicaid guidelines and clinical standards.
- Develop and implement individualized safety plans when necessary.
- Refer clients for further evaluations or to additional services as needed.
- Promote and coordinate group and support service participation.
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation and case notes.
- Participate in clinical supervision, team meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Uphold ethical, professional, and cultural competency standards.
- Maintain active state licensure and complete 25 hours of role-specific training annually.

Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling RequiredActive Michigan license : LLMSW, LLPC, TLLP, LMSW, LPC, or LLP RequiredAt least 1 year post-Master's experience working with adults with severe mental illness RequiredMust qualify for Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) and QIDP credentials within 120 days of hireMust possess CAADC or be on an active, approved MCBAP Development Plan within 6 weeks of hireStrong ability to develop therapeutic relationships with diverse populationsEffective communication, organization, and clinical documentation skillsDemonstrated cultural competence and nonjudgmental approachU.S. Work Authorization required No visa sponsorshipsAdditional Information
Travel : Personal vehicle travel required; reimbursed at IRS rateWork Hours : Full-time must provide 23 billable hours per week and offer some evening availability (at least 4 hours after 5 PM)Training : Employee must complete 24 hours annually of youth- or adolescent-specific continuing education.
