IU Arnett's Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is a non-surgical progressive care unit. Nurses treat patients with compassion, care, and clinical excellence.

PCU is a 27-bed unit that maintains IU Arnett's Rapid Response Bed. Our team also consists of a paramedic staff member to assist with transport (Monday-Friday).

PCU nurses provide care to a continuum of medical diagnoses including : NSTEMI, cardiogenic shock, PE pre-intervention, cardiac catheterization, post CABG / open-heart failure, heart failure, respiratory failure, sepsis, DKA, AFIB ablation, Watchman, and other percutaneous intervention patients.

Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.* Requires current state of Indiana license as Registered Nurse.* Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.

Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.* Other Advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit / department specialty according to patient care policies.
