Responsibilities :

• Performs Histology procedures including embedding and cutting tissue specimens.
• Preparing and staining microscopic slides for diagnostic purposes. Working in the gross room.
• Technical Skills / Knowledge
• Provides technical leadership and expertise.
• Maintains quality control, calibration functions and correlations.
• Coordinates, plans, organizes and monitors the work of the department.
• Ensures all competencies and training are completed.
• Under the direction of manager or supervisors works on special projects.
• Performs inventory control functions.
• Consistently completes testing within established time frames.
• Recognize and address issues within the department.

Requires organizational and time management skills.

Ability to manage personnel and deal with controversial issues in a professional manner.

Qualifications : Education

Experience
