CHIEF NURSING OFFICER
CHIEF NURSING OFFICER (CNO)
Behavioral Healthcare facility located in Central Ohio and approximately an hour from Dayton, Ohio is hiring an experienced CHIEF NURSING OFFICER to join their team of healthcare professionals.
This position will oversee the Nursing Department and ensure that the departmental employees provide nursing care through physical and mental assessments, laboratory testing, plans of care and therapeutic treatments.
OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledgeable of a wide range of nursing leadership responsibilities and how to motivate and lead a team.
- Has knowledge of mental health disorders; cognitive, emotional, developmental, social and behavioral.
- Performs crisis intervention. Participates in the department's performance improvement and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities.
- Functions as a leader in the hospital and is a key leader on the Executive Team and has responsibility for maintaining compliance and ensuring overall nursing functions are followed.
Education
Required : Bachelors degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program. Current unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the state of employment.
CPR and hospital-selected de-escalation technique certification.
- Preferred : Masters Degree in Nursing or other Healthcare related field. Advanced degree or certification in nursing from an accredited nursing program or agency
- Maintains education and development appropriate for position.
Experience
- Preferred : A minimum of ten (10) year experience in a behavioral healthcare setting. A minimum of five (5) years of Healthcare leader experience.
- Regulatory and survey experience including The Joint Commission, CMS, and State level survey activity.
