ActivBody offers users the ability to exercise with feedback. Our main product is ActivForce, consisting of a smart electronic device communicating with mobile apps and a backend API and a web dashboard.
We support users over many countries and languages.

We are a small international team, primarily based in San Diego. We have flexible hours and expect self-reliance. We do not work with deadlines and focus instead on finding the best solutions for our customers.
Role Description
We are seeking an experienced full stack engineer with a passion to build and create innovative, durable, and elegant solutions.
You will be involved in the development, management and deployment of our cloud infrastructure. Building RESTful APIs, web dashboards, debugging customer issues, and solving technical and data related problems will be a part of this as well.
You will have a big part in our ongoing success by ensuring our application environments are stable and our application deployments are high quality.
Your contributions to our products will have a meaningful, direct impact on our user base.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Architect, build, and maintain our web applications
Refactor and improve existing code
Implement, test, and document RESTful API endpoints
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or relevant experience (We know there are other ways to learn)
7+ years experience with code promotion, deployment and automation (CI & CD)
7+ years experience with cloud infrastructure like GCP or AWS
Experience with Docker & containerized deployments
Strong knowledge of TypeScript development in the Node.js / npm ecosystem
Strong understanding of git / GitHub : version control, branching, pull requests, etc.
UX / UI and design experience welcome
Preferred : NoSQL (MongoDB) experience
Preferred : Svelte & SvelteKit experience
Preferred : HIPAA Compliance experience
