Mechanical Engineer

Genesis10 is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Engineer for a 5-month contract position with a client located in Milwaukee, WI. This role is 100% onsite. Compensation : $65.00 - 69.00 per hour, depending on skill and experience level. Summary : The Sr. Mechanical Engineer will design functional, reliable, and cost-effective heavy-duty vehicle components. This role involves performing engineering analysis, design or re-design, and the development of components for existing and new vehicles. The engineer will also support the integration and execution of vehicle and component design. Responsibilities : Perform engineering calculations, investigations, and tasks according to industry standards and processes. Support senior engineers in preparing plans, designs, computation methods, and reports. Take ownership of projects or parts of projects with limited complexity; may manage multiple projects. Collaborate internally with cross-functional teams and externally with suppliers. Provide guidance or mentorship to entry-level engineers, designers, or technicians. Maintain effective communication with suppliers, customers, and outside resources on technical issues. Enforce proper use of engineering criteria and drawing standards in compliance with company policies. Evaluate designs for performance, safety, and reliability. Prepare layouts, drawings, specifications, and bills of material. Perform engineering analysis to support part, component, and material selection. Provide technical assistance for production support. Analyze and resolve issues reported to Engineering and communicate status. Prepare technical proposals, quotations, reports, and presentations. Create and maintain project documentation for analysis, research, and historical records. Use analytical and mathematical approaches to calculate or model system performance and optimize designs. Other duties as assigned. Regular attendance is required. Qualifications : Accredited Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field. Three (3) or more years of related experience. Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position. Able to work as a W2 employee of Genesis10 (no corp to corp). Preferred Qualifications : Proficiency with 3D CAD design tools and modeling. Prior exposure to military combat systems. Knowledge of video signal design and transmission systems. Experience applying root-cause problem-solving methodologies. Background in electro-mechanical system integration. Hands-on experience with product testing, test labs, or hardware-in-the-loop testing environments. Strong technical writing skills with experience creating engineering documentation.
