The goal of hospice care is to improve the quality of a patients last months by offering comfort, dignity, and care wherever the patient resides.
We are currently hiring : Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Registered Nurses (RNs)
We offer flexible scheduling options but are primarily looking for individuals who can provide care on weekends and be available on-call.
As an LPN or RN at Brighton Hospice, you will collaborate with our interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, social workers, chaplains, and therapists, to achieve our mission.
You will play a crucial role in maintaining clear communication with patients, families, and team members while being a reliable problem solver.
On an average day, you will
Partner with the interdisciplinary team to implement and manage plans of care, determining scope, priority, and frequency of services based on patient / family needs, and recommending revisions as necessary
Consult with and educate the patient / family regarding the disease process, self-care techniques, end-of-life care, and ethical concerns
Communicate with medical director, and other clinicians regarding changes in patient needs and outcomes of intervention
Prepare and submit documentation of observations, findings, and services provided
And perform additional, related duties as needed

Desired Skills / Qualifications
For RNs, an active RN license in Kansas or Missouri; for LPNs, an active LPN license in Kansas or Missouri.
Must be available to cover on-call shifts Friday through Sunday
At least 1 year of experience as an LPN or RN, preferably in hospice care
Are passionate about providing the best possible care to patients and their families
