Accounting Specialist

The successful Accounting Specialist must have a working knowledge of basic accounting functions. This role supports the accounting department by performing essential accounting duties and providing administrative support.

Responsibilities

  • File paperwork and maintain organized records.
  • Perform accurate data entry tasks.
  • Scan documents and manage digital files.
  • Complete mailings as required for the department.
  • Provide administrative support to company personnel.
  • Match invoices to inventory records.
  • Balance financial statements.
  • Process payments efficiently and accurately.
  • Record vouchers and ensure proper documentation.
  • Verify credit memos and edit reports to ensure batches balance before posting.
  • Interact professionally with vendors and suppliers.
  • Complete all other projects as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
  • Experience with accounts payable and general accounting practices.
  • Intermediate experience with ERP systems and pivot tables.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Must be able to work fully onsite in Tecumseh 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday

    • Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00 / hr.
