About The Position
Job Title : RN-OR Cobb - General Surgery - Days Job Specialty : RN Registered / Licensed - Inpatient Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Day;
4 x 10-hour days, 16-24 hours on call per 4 weeks Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : Minimum 5 years of experience in the OR.
Strong proficiency in 2 of these 3 specialties : Neurology, Orthopedics, Vascular. Previous travel experience is a plus but not a must.
License : Registered Nurse (Single State) or RN - Multi-state Compact Certifications : Basic Life Support or BLS - Instructor Must-Have : Diploma from an accredited nursing program or Bachelor's Degree in nursing (BSN) preferred.

Job Description : Perform the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, identification of outcomes, planning, implementation, and evaluation) using evidence-based practice.
Provide relationship-based, patient-centered care consistent with population-specific characteristics.- Partner with patients and significant others using appropriate methods for setting and purpose (e.
g., bedside shift report, interdisciplinary rounds).- Coordinate the delivery and documentation of safe, quality patient care.
- Demonstrate teamwork and collaboration in a fiscally responsible manner.- Participate and support performance improvement, research, and research utilization.
- Complete all initial and ongoing professional competency assessments and required education.- Serve as a preceptor or mentor for other professional nurses and staff.
- Promote evidence-based practice, nursing research, and performance improvement.- Uphold all health care system / organizational policies and procedures.
- Proactively plan for the care of patients across the care continuum.- Support efficient and effective use of human and material resources.
