This role has a strong safety focus within a regulated operations environment. The position is responsible for Safety Programs inclusive of Confined Space, Biosafety, PPE, Hazard Communication, Chemical Hygiene, Industrial Hygiene, Incident Management, Contractor Safety, Hearing Conservation, and Ergonomics. Educates and trains employees on established safety practices, procedures, and programs. Performs safety inspections and audits; provides safety improvement recommendations and feedback to improve safety performance.
The role is also responsible for supporting the daily operational and implementation needs of EHS programs at the designated site(s). This includes duties related to environmental, safety and industrial hygiene programs, according to federal and state regulatory requirements as well as established Boehringer programs. In coordination with the EHS Management, this role will be responsible for leading assigned EHS programs and will support the department for other programs as needed while developing skills in these areas.
