We are seeking a Medical Assistant or LVN for the Front & Back Office to become a part of our team! You will perform routine administrative and clinical assignments to keep the medical facility running smoothly.
Responsibilities :
- Handle all administrative duties in a timely manner
- Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff
- Greet, check-in & escort patients to exam rooms
- Verify patient information and insurance eligibility & collect co-payments
- Take patient histories and vital signs, prepare them for exams
- Ensure patient information, history, vitals and reports are accurate and current in EMR
- Answer multiple phone lines and schedule appointments; follow up on patient calls, prescription requests & referrals
- Check, order and maintain supply inventory & equipment maintenance logs and patient handouts
- Provide support to the physicians as needed and as directed
Qualifications :
- Minimum 3 years previous back office Medical Assistant experience, family practice / internal medicine preferred
- Certificate from an accredited Medical Assistant program
- CPR certified
- Electronic medical records (EMR) experience
- NextGen EMR experience preferred, but not required
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Current with CLIA and OSHA guidelines
- Exceptional customer service, interpersonal, computer and organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Strong ability to prioritize and multitask
- Bilingual (English & Spanish)
