The Lead is responsible for guiding operation and assisting team members in daily production under the direction of the Supervisor.
This position will also be accountable for filling in and providing backup to staff members as needed. Ultimately this position will assist the Supervisor in achieving production standards while maintaining the highest level of quality and in compliance with all policies and procedures.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with team members to produce and / or package Kringle and other relative products according to production standards and demands under the guidance and direction of leadership.
- Support and lead the team through daily production needs and operations. Ensure accurate and timely completion of startup and closing procedures.
- Engage team members; work with managers, supervisors and Human Resources to facilitate positive relationships with team members.
- Assist the department's Supervisor in overseeing the finishing and on-time production and / or packaging of O&H products for retail stores, corporate accounts and mail order.
- Train, Coach and develop staff members, with the support and guidance of the department's Supervisor, and working with other leaders and Human Resources to facilitate positive relationships with assigned staff members.
- Assess and anticipate staffing needs, efficiency bottle necks, and inventory demands are proactive in setting teams, inventory and product up for success in future.
- Work to optimize operational efficiencies while ensuring the company's high quality standards are met or exceeded.
- Ensure that all workers on team are trained and adhere to the company's Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), HACCP, and other food safety procedures.
- Adhere to SQF guidelines by properly documenting all quality and safety checks.
- Within the guidelines of the company's maintenance program, work to troubleshoot any issues and involves maintenance to ensure equipment is available for use when needed and properly maintained.
- Ensure daily / weekly orders are being filled accurately.
- Be willing to help other departments when in need to help carry out our mission on a daily basis.
Education and Experience Requirements :
- High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience in Food Service and / or Manufacturing environment strongly desired
- Previous experience in a leadership role in in food service, and / or manufacturing, or other relevant industry is preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
- Strong Math skills, including but not limited to the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide without the aid of a calculator
- Ability to read and speak English
- Ability to speak Spanish desired, but not required
- Ability to lead staff members in a collaborative and encouraging manner
- Ability to obtain information and take a proactive approach to problem solving
Physical Demands :
- Ability to lift 30 pounds repetitively throughout shift
- Comfortable standing, lifting, and bending for the duration of an entire shift
- Ability to complete repetitive motions throughout designated shift
- Ability to Stand or Walk for extended periods of time throughout shift
Working conditions :
Incumbent must be able to work in an environment with changing temperatures from 50 degrees Fahrenheit to 95 degrees Fahrenheit.
Incumbent may be exposed to cleaning chemicals, loud equipment and machines, and other environmental hazards associated with a production or warehouse facility.
