Job Description
The Department of Physics & Engineering Physics at The University of Tulsa (TU) invites applications to fill a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor.
All research specializations will be considered. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a sustainable research program that attracts external funding and enriches the reputation of the department, teach effectively and mentor student research at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and engage in service-related activities for the department, college, and university.
The department offers baccalaureate degrees in Physics and Engineering Physics and a master’s and Ph.D. in Physics. The Engineering Physics program at TU has been accredited by ABET since 1971.
Required Qualifications Preferred Qualifications Required qualifications :
- An earned doctorate in physics, engineering physics, or closely related field.
- A proven record of peer-reviewed publication.
- Outstanding communication skills and a disposition for teaching and learning.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse population of students, faculty, and staff.
Preferred qualifications :
Experience in a postdoctoral research position or equivalent.
