Responsibilities

Optometric Technician Job Responsibilities

  • Welcomes patients professionally and courteously, assisting in their preparation for eye examinations.
  • Assists optometrist with tests and procedures, ensuring accurate diagnosis and treatment.
  • Attends to patient needs and inquiries with patience and courtesy.
  • Manages patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Conducts appointment scheduling and maintains the point of sale system accurately.
  • Ensures a safe and organized working environment.
  • Provides guidance to patients on contact lens care.
  • Maintains equipment and inventory as needed.
