Medium Truck Driver

The selected talent will drive gas or diesel powered trucks. Pick up, transport and deliver Government Seized Property to assigned destinations. Vehicles typically weigh more than 5 Tons. Drives vehicles both on and off of government and commercial facilities in all types of traffic. Interfaces with Government Law Enforcement Personnel at many levels and serves as an ambassador in every interaction with clients and the public. Performs inventory on all property received and released and ensures accountability on Bills of Lading and Chains of Custody. Completes daily logs and inspection reports.

Essential Responsibilities :

• Drives trucks up to 26,000 lbs to destinations for pick-up and delivery based on instructions or directions received and by using maps.
• Inspects truck for defects before and after trips.
• Monitors vehicle during operation and reports maintenance / repair requirements to Management.
• Secures loads being transported to ensure safe and undamaged arrival at destination.
• Loads and Unloads vehicles with Material Handling Equipment.
• Help manage routes and routines to achieve efficiency.
• Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

This job requires full-time travel. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is Required to sit for long periods. The employee frequently is required to climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and / or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions, and vibration. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
