Senior Tax Specialist

Salary / Hourly Rate :
$90k $120k plus Bonus
Position Overview :
Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Tax Specialist to assist with all areas of the tax function, including compliance, planning, governance, and stakeholder management.
Responsibilities of the Senior Tax Specialist :
- Organize the inputs for the combined federal, state, and local income tax returns for the United States.
- Collaborate with outside consultants to guarantee the submission of outstanding deliverables and the worldwide observance of the tax compliance schedule.
- Oversee receipts for state and local tax notices, offer analysis, and lead prompt resolution.
- Help with the switch to the global ERP system (SAP).
- Execute a monthly account reconciliation for the tax ledger.
- Control sales and apply procedures for tax compliance.
- Keep an eye on recent and upcoming changes to tax laws and adjust policies and procedures as needed.
- Construct and evaluate tax models.
- Look at the potential for business expansion and tax-efficient restructurings in the US and abroad.
- Aid in the evaluation and improvement of the global transfer pricing model.
Qualifications for the Senior Tax Specialist :
- 3+ years of tax experience.
- Excellent knowledge of international tax structuring, tax accounting, and tax compliance.
- Solid understanding of US GAAP and tax accounting.
- Capacity to explain complex tax issues.
- Strong interpersonal and relational skills.
- Work unsupervised and independently.
- Outstanding communication, problem-solving, organizing, writing, and analytical skills.
- Independent and proactive.
Education Requirements :
- Bachelor of Science in Accounting is required
- Advanced degree and / or CPA is a plus
