About
The Governance and Experience Team (GNE) is a global team responsible for ensuring our marketplace is safe and trustworthy for customers, in addition to our sellers and creators.
The Policy Operations team collaborates with cross-functional teams across TikTok Shop, creating and editing our policies, ensuring policy operational excellence while partnering with our Education and Communications team who create quality educational and communication content.
Responsibilities
What You'll be Doing
Work with and support our policy technical writers, editing policies and educational articles that simplify and summarize our policies.
We take complex policies and present them in a clear, easy to understand, user-friendly language that is engaging to our audiences.
- Building deep relationships with cross-functional teams, including but not limited to policy owners, product, sales and Legal to update / clarify our policy and communication content, in adherence with our TikTok Shop standards.
- Support our Communication and Education specialists by bringing policy subject matter expertise to improve the way we communicate consistently with our sellers, creators and internal employees.
- Collaborating with our user experience teams, and incorporating feedback to improve our documentation and communications externally to sellers and creators.
- Improve processes and think outside the box.
- Possess excellent project management skills and be able to multi-task as you will be managing multiple deadlines on numerous projects at the same time.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- 2+ years in internal and external editing / copywriter role.
- Expert editing skills. Deliver error-free work, using best practices with keen attention to detail. Having copyright or editorial experience is a plus!
- Experience in developing and executing clear and captivating communications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to understand and assimilate new subject matter quickly, asking questions when clarification is needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above.
- Experience with start-up, marketplace, educational or L&D content or policy creation / development is a plus.
