Sr. IT Infrastructure Administrator or IT Infrastructure Engineer

What You’ll Do :

Sr. IT Infrastructure Administrator :

• Install, configure, upgrade, maintain and support server, network and desktop systems according to IT plan and business need
• Lead major IT Infrastructures initiatives, including new systems / software and upgrades / replacements to existing systems
• Contribute and adhere to preventive maintenance procedures to avoid system failures.
• Ensure regular back-ups are maintained and tested
• Troubleshoot technical issues; identify root cause and resolve, escalate complex problems to IT Leadership, provide timely escalation of issues to leadership with thoughtful options for resolution
• Regularly analyze and optimize infrastructure systems
• Maintain security standards of systems and network
• Provide quick, reliable, efficient, and friendly customer service
• Perform local and remote troubleshooting through modern diagnostic techniques and investigative questions
• Uncover the best solution for technical hardware and software issues
• Provide accurate information on IT technology, policies, and services
• Manage daily workload using internal ticket system, documenting detailed status and progress of tickets
• Follow-up with customers to ensure validity of resolutions
• Provide premium onboarding experience with new team members
• Prioritize work based on business criticality, time sensitivity, and urgency
• Follow policies and procedures related to software acquisition, license, use, support, security, and backup as outlined by IT Manager
• Ensure project portfolio and prioritization are updated and maintained on a continuous basis
• Oversee inventory management of software and hardware components
• Maintain accurate documentations for system installations, configurations, upgrades and disaster recovery activities
• Provide guidance to Infrastructure Technicians and fellow Administrators
• Escalate issues to next level IT personnel as needed
• Participate in team troubleshooting sessions

Infrastructure Engineer In addition to all duties listed above, this role includes :

• Discover, research, design and implement enterprise-wide hardware, software and systems to support IT plan and business needs
• Serve as technical lead for infrastructure projects and Level 3 support issues
• Manage the host environment to ensure proper tuning and sufficient capacity (including web servers, database servers, VMWare, Cisco, SAN, directories, and blades).
• Perform disaster recovery planning and execution to ensure business continuity
• Champion changes to network and server architecture, promoting high reliability, recoverability and security
• Troubleshoot high level technical issues; identify root cause and resolve, escalate complex problems to IT Leadership, provide timely escalation of issues to leadership with thoughtful options for resolution
• Provide quick, reliable, efficient, and friendly customer service

What You'll Need :

• Bachelor’s degree in an Information Technology
• 8+ years of experience implementing, supporting, and maintaining network switching and routing equipment, Microsoft servers, storage area networks, virtual environments, wireless and VOIP
• 5+ years of experience delivering complex integrated technical solutions
• 5+ years of experience supporting desktop / server operating systems and technologies such as VMware, Cisco and SAN
• Advanced industry knowledge for current versions of products including but not limited to : CiscoVMWareMicrosoft SQL Server database
• Experience with Epicor or other ERP systems preferred
• Ability to travel 10%
