The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) at the Adult Medicine Clinic provides primary and specialty care that includes ambulatory practices such as General Internal Medicine, Endocrine, Gastroenterology, Hematology, Pulmonary, Nephrology, Nutrition, Rheumatology, and Interventional Radiology.
Job Summary
The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) has duties and responsibilities related to patient care in the ambulatory clinic environment.
The individual displays responsible behaviors, communicates effectively to others and functions as a member of the healthcare team.
The CMA functions under the direct supervision and authority of the physician when performing clinical tasks during patient care.
The CMA reports to the clinic manager, who is responsible for administrative supervision, staff development, and orientation of the CMA to the area's policies and procedures.
The CMA maintains an inventory of examination / procedure room supplies, assists in the organization of efficient patient flow, and organizes the clinic environment to assure patient safety.
Shifts : 8 hour shifts Monday-Friday; no weekends
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program required
- Completion of CMA certification with the credentials of RMA, NCMA, NRCMA, CCMA or CMAA requiredprior to hire
- Valid CPR certification required upon hire
- Ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of CMA experience
Salary Range : Minimum 18.15 per hour - Maximum 26.32 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
