Assistant / Associate / Professor of Clinical Surgery

The Division of Surgical Oncology at the University of Miami, Leonard Miller School of Medicine is seeking a fellowship-trained surgeon specializing in breast and cutaneous oncology to join our surgical oncology team.
We have strong multidisciplinary programs in breast and cutaneous oncology that work to provide high quality clinical care and access to cutting edge clinical trials.
Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center is the only university-based, NCI-designated cancer center in South Florida and is focused on innovation in cancer care.
Applicants should have a strong commitment to patient care and education and an interest in developing a clinical and / or translational research program.
Eligible candidates must be board certified in general surgery, be able to obtain and maintain a valid Florida Medical License, and have completed a SSO approved breast surgery or ACGME approved surgical oncology fellowship.
Two to three years of post-fellowship clinical experience is preferred.
The Division of Surgical Oncology at the University of Miami currently has 15 faculty members with strong clinical, research and educational activities and sponsors fully approved fellowship programs in Surgical Oncology and Breast Surgical Oncology.
Job Responsibilities :
- Participation in clinical and educational activities as they relate to the Division of Surgical Oncology and the Department of Surgery with a special emphasis on breast and cutaneous oncology.
- Work closely with the Director of Breast Surgical Oncology and other members of the surgical oncology team to develop a strong breast and cutaneous oncology clinical practice.
- Receive mentorship from the Chief of the Division of Surgical Oncology and research faculty in the Department of Surgery and Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center for the development of a high-quality clinical and / or translational research program.
