Job Overview :

The Demand Planner will be responsible for developing and maintaining accurate demand forecasts to support production planning, inventory management, and overall supply chain efficiency.

This role requires strong statistical modeling skills, experience with incremental / promotional demand planning, and proficiency in advanced planning systems such as 09, Blue Yonder, OMP, and Kinaxis.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with Sales Operations and cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Demand Forecasting and Planning :

  • Develop and maintain demand forecasts using statistical modeling techniques and data analysis.
  • Utilize historical sales data, market trends, and promotional activity to predict future demand and identify potential risks and opportunities.
  • Monitor and adjust forecasts based on changes in market conditions, customer orders, and sales trends.

2. Incremental Demand Planning :

  • Analyze incremental demand generated from marketing campaigns, new product launches, and other sales initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to incorporate incremental demand into the overall forecast.
  • Continuously improve the accuracy of incremental demand forecasting through analysis and feedback.

3. System Optimization and Management :

  • Utilize advanced planning systems such as 09, Blue Yonder, OMP, and Kinaxis for end-to-end demand planning and forecasting.
  • Maintain and update planning system parameters to optimize forecast accuracy and inventory levels.
  • Support the implementation of new demand planning tools and technologies to enhance forecasting capabilities.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration :

  • Work closely with supply chain, production, and procurement teams to ensure alignment on demand forecasts and inventory levels.
  • Coordinate with product development and sales teams to incorporate new product launches and promotions into demand planning.
  • Communicate forecast updates, changes, and insights to stakeholders across the organization.

5. Reporting and Analysis :

  • Prepare regular reports on demand forecast accuracy, inventory levels, and key performance indicators.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of forecast variances and implement corrective actions to improve forecast accuracy.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to management based on demand trends and analysis.

6. Continuous Improvement :

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in demand planning and forecasting.
  • Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and new technologies related to demand planning and supply chain management.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to drive overall supply chain efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Statistics, or Mathematics.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting preferably within the manufacturing or consumer goods industry.
  • Strong proficiency in statistical modeling and data analysis.
  • Experience with advanced planning systems such as 09, Blue Yonder, OMP, and Kinaxis is required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Pay, Benefits & Perks :

The estimated salary pay is $80,000 to $100,000. This pay is an estimate, and the exact compensation may vary depending on an applicant's location, skills, prior experience, professional qualifications, and other relevant factors.

Additional compensation may also include incentive compensation (i.e. bonus or commission) if applicable.
