Position Overview : We are excited to announce a new opportunity for a dedicated and passionate Bilingual (Spanish / English) Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join Bloomington School District 87 for the 2024-2025 school year.
This is a full-time contract position that offers a rewarding experience to work with a diverse group of students and make a significant impact on their munication skills and overall educational journey.

- Work Hours : 8 : 30 AM - 3 : 45 PM
- Caseload : Approximately 20 students
- Grade Levels : Elementary (K-5th Grade)
- Additional Students : Possibly a few 3-5 year olds
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct prehensive speech and language evaluations.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each student.
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services in both Spanish and English.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress.
- Monitor and document student progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of IEP goals.
- Provide support and resources to teachers and staff to facilitate an inclusive classroom environment.
- Engage in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in speech-language pathology.
Qualifications :
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Illinois.
- Certificate of Clinical petence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English (required).
- Experience working with elementary school-aged children, including those with diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Strong organizational, munication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
