Bilingual (Spanish / English) Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for Bloomington SD 87, Bloomington, IL

Position Overview : We are excited to announce a new opportunity for a dedicated and passionate Bilingual (Spanish / English) Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join Bloomington School District 87 for the 2024-2025 school year.

This is a full-time contract position that offers a rewarding experience to work with a diverse group of students and make a significant impact on their munication skills and overall educational journey.

• Title : Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
• School Year : 2024-2025
• Location : Bloomington School District 87, Bloomington, IL
• Start Date : August 15, 2024
• End Date : May 29, 2025
• Work Hours : 8 : 30 AM - 3 : 45 PM
• Caseload : Approximately 20 students
• Grade Levels : Elementary (K-5th Grade)
• Additional Students : Possibly a few 3-5 year olds

Key Responsibilities :

• Conduct prehensive speech and language evaluations.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each student.
• Provide direct speech and language therapy services in both Spanish and English.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress.
• Monitor and document student progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of IEP goals.
• Provide support and resources to teachers and staff to facilitate an inclusive classroom environment.
• Engage in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in speech-language pathology.

Qualifications :

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Illinois.
• Certificate of Clinical petence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English (required).
• Experience working with elementary school-aged children, including those with diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
• Strong organizational, munication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
