About The Position
Job Title : Emergency Room Nurse, PediatricJob Specialty : Pediatric Emergency RoomJob Duration : 13 monthsShift : 7a-7p, every other weekend rotationGuaranteed Hours : 36 hours per weekExperience : Minimum of 2 years of strong pediatric or emergency room experience with a pediatric patient populationLicense : Current ability to work as a Registered NurseCertifications : PALS (AHA) and BLS (AHA)Must-Have : EPIC experience in recent past, strong pediatric assessment, IV, and lab draw skillsJob Description : - Work in a busy 23-bed Pediatric Emergency Room, serving patients ranging from newborns to age 17.
- Handle patient flow averaging 65 patients per day.- Provide care for minor to high-level acuity pediatric patients.- Collaborate in a unit that may also care for COVID patients.
- Pediatric trauma patients will be referred to the main emergency room.- Conduct strong assessments and interventions on pediatric patients.
- Participate in safety-sensitive tasks under regulatory statutes.- Successfully complete the Basic Dysrhythmia and general medication tests.
- Ensure compliance with the requirements of the safety-sensitive job as defined by the employer.
