JOB DESCRIPTION :

You will be part of a small and talented Data Analytics team. As OpenTable moves toward an event-based architecture for all our application services, you will have the opportunity to work on new Analytics infrastructure.

You will be communicating with Business Users directly to perform Business Analysis. You’ll also work on building a data pipeline from the new event-based services to consume and store events and make them easily accessible for Analytics.

Use Python or Scala to utilize Spark engine to process Events data stored in Amazon S3. Help in implementing data feeds that go to our data warehouse and other systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Provide technical leadership for the entire MicroStrategy environment including Architecture, best practices, processes, and development standards.
• Architect MicroStrategy projects from end to end.
• Analyze requirements, design, and develop business intelligence applications to meet business needs.
• Support business users in answering complex business questions via MicroStrategy and ad-hoc SQL queries.
• Participate in requirements gathering sessions; work together with users to find the best possible solution to a given business problem.
• Troubleshoot technical issues at all levels.
• Be well conversant with current MicroStrategy products and tools and have means to solve any issues by reaching out to MicroStrategy Support and Forums.
• Build relationships with key business stakeholders.
• Contribute to data aggregation strategy for reporting, dashboards, and self-service analytics.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

• Extensive experience in MicroStrategy Architecture and Development.
• Hands-on expertise in data modeling, Icube, schema object design.
• Experience in metadata creation, creating report specifications, integration, test planning, testing, and implementation support.
• Expert-level experience in Report and Dashboard design and development.
• Experience building highly customized reports and developing creative solutions to apply business logic.
• Must have extensively worked on MicroStrategy Administration, Desktop, Web, Report Services Document, and Distribution Services.
• Must have good experience with Visual Insights.
• Must have strong performance tuning and troubleshooting experience.
• Must be able to debug and fix production / existing issues.
• Strong experience reading and writing SQL.
• Experience with Netezza and SQL Server databases preferred.
• Must be able to work on one or more assignments simultaneously with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to interact with business for requirement gathering and support.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills.
