About The Position
Job Title : Diagnostic Imaging Specialist Job Specialty : Echo Technologist, Ultrasound Technologist General Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Initial 3-12 hour shifts for the first two weeks (Thursday - Saturday, 19 : 00-07 : 00) transitioning to 8-hour days Monday to Friday (07 : 00 - 15 : 30) for the remainder of the assignment Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Experience : Minimum 3 years of recent adult echocardiogram sonography experience License : Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS - American Heart Association) Must-Have : Experience with Phillips equipment- Experience with EPIC electronic medical records- Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program is strongly preferred Job Description : Perform diagnostic cardiac or vascular ultrasounds to provide cardiologists with accurate images and measurements of cardiac structures for diagnosis.
- Provide immediate feedback with preliminary reports of critical results to nurses and physicians for life-saving treatment interventions.
- Assist physicians with studies and help proceed with complex procedures in settings such as the operating room, hybrid lab, catheterization lab, and during procedures like Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement and Surgical Aortic Valve Replacement.
- Preferred experience includes Transthoracic Echocardiogram (TTE) in both inpatient and outpatient settings, Transesophageal Echocardiogram (TEE), structural imaging, ECMO, and Impella placement.
- This position is identified as safety sensitive, meaning tasks or duties could affect the health and safety of the employee or others.
