Powergen Controls is an engineering service provider and OEM manufacturer. We provide custom design as well as a comprehensive range of high-quality products and services.
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Service Technician. Powergen Controls technicians are responsible for ensuring the end-to-end safety, quality, and performance of power generating equipment across the US and around the world.
This includes performing installations, preventative maintenance, and corrective maintenance. The ideal candidate thinks critically, can work well independently, and is a problem solver.
Powergen Controls Service Technicians are provided with safety and technical training and full office support. Once qualified, Technicians will be provided with standard tooling, testing equipment, a laptop, smart phone, and company expense card.
THIS JOB WILL BE BASED IN PHOENIX ARIZONA
Responsibilities :
- Read electrical drawings and schematics
- Troubleshoot, maintenance, and repair electrical equipment and controls.
- Provide technical insight on the function and best practices of electrical power systems.
- Select products and installation methods for electrical control devices.
- Wiring of industrial control panels, switchboards and MCCs.
- Perform field commissioning and startup activities.
- Knowledge of PLCs and HMIs.
- Complete all site documentation in a timely manner; including but not limited to, weekly time sheets, signed Field Service Reports and email reports to customer project managers.
- Communicate technical information and troubleshooting solutions clearly with project managers and end customers.
- Stay current on all safety and technical training; adhere to company, industry, and client safety protocols and standards.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, perform updates to client electrical drawings, including one-lines, diagrams, and schematics.
Qualifications :
Must be proficient in English ability to speak Spanish is a plus.
Requires Technical School or a degree in Electrical Engineering or 2 years relative work experience
Must be experienced with Microsoft office.
Must be eligible to work in the USA; able to travel internationally a bonus
Must pass a background check and have a valid driver's license.
