The Project Manager will initially report to the Director of Project Development. This position will initially be responsible for helping build Nikola's hydrogen supply and fueling infrastructure .
You will play a key figure in planning, scheduling, organizing, directing, and controlling the program deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Management of project scope
- Communication with Partner's equivalent
- Developing and maintaining the Project Execution Plan
- Onboarding and offboarding personnel resources as required
- Oversite of all project related Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning and a successful turn-over to Operations
- Maintaining Project Budget and Schedule
- Monthly status reviews and reporting to Leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or closely-related discipline (MBA or PMP Certification is preferred)
- Excellent planning, collaboration, and facilitation skills to coordinate and leverage capabilities across a highly matrixed organization involving multiple products, channels & functions
- 15 years+ experience in energy or industrial gas industry with 5 years+ experience managing engineering projects over 10M$
- Experience with infrastructure programs - Knowledge or experience with hydrogen production and / or fueling is a preferred.
- Data-driven problem-solving skills, with understanding of problem-solving tools and key performance indicators / metrics
- Ability to plan and manage complex projects crossing over many departmental lines
- Effective communication skills, written and oral, to all levels of the organization
- Strong organizational skills
- High Energy / Flexible / Adaptable / Dynamic / can-do attitude
- High comfort and confidence level while giving presentations to room of peers and / or stakeholders
- Ability to influence and thrive within a rapidly changing / growing matrix organization
- Current location or relocation to the Phoenix Arizona area
- Ability to travel regionally and internationally 10-20%
