NURSEEDUCATOR RN (Registered Nurse)SUMMARY :

Nurse Educator RN (RegisteredNurse) is responsible for all Staff Development / Resident educationprogramming within the facility with a focus on compliance (i.

e.DOH guidelines) infection control / infection preventionorganizational goals and quality assurance tracking ofprograms

• Nurse Educator RN (Registered Nurse)develops plans executes evaluates and maintains documentationregarding all educational programs including the new hireorientation program which encompasses acquiring and maintainingeducational material
• Coordinate or conduct NewHire Orientation
• Nurse Educator RN (RegisteredNurse) plans and delivers continuing education programs includinginservice programs to meet educational needs andcompliance / requirements for staff (staffdevelopment)
• Nurse Educator RN (RegisteredNurse) provides and / or assists with all emergencytraining
• Recommends revisions on policiesprocedures processes etc. including changes in resident care basedon current clinical knowledge and policies andprocedures
• Maintains clinical skills andcompetence and administers direct nursing care asnecessary
• Provides supplemental nursingsupervision as needed and is required to be on the oncall rotationschedule for supervision / nursing administrationbackup.

Requirements :

• Graduate of anapproved school of nursing
• Licensed ®istered in good standing in New York State as anRN
• Work experience as Nurse Educator RN (SNFexperienced highly preferred)
• Ability to makeboth independent & collaborative decisions that are necessaryfor providing quality education and nursingcare
• Thorough knowledge of nursing andinfection control practices and procedures as well as lawsregulations and guidelines that pertain toSNF
• Organized detailoriented flexible &dependable
• Possess a spirit of cooperation& enthusiasm to create / maintain a team oriented and comfortableatmosphere conducive to learning development and quality patientcare.
• Excellent communication skills (bothverbal & written) and interpersonalskills
• Covid19 vaccinations areencouraged but NOT MANDATED ; wecontinue to offer COVID19 vaccination based on eligibility guidancefrom CDC.
