UT-Regional One Physicians#is currently seeking a#Nurse Practitioner#or Physician Assistant#for#Trauma Step-down / ICU.##ICU#experience required.
Day / night rotation available. # JOB SUMMARY AND ESSENTIAL#FUNCTIONS : Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant performing a complete and accurate trauma history and physical according to established protocols.
JOB REQUIREMENTS : # EDUCATION : ##Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program;# #Additional training may be required for specialty areas.
Qualified by education, training or experience to work with the adult and / or geriatric patient population as specialty assignment dictates.
EXPERIENCE : ##Two (2) years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant Preferred. Acute#care training preferred.
Experience in a trauma center will be considered in lieu of acute care training. Demonstrated ability to independently work and make clinical assessments.
Additional experience may be required in assigned specialty area. # LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION : ##Current licensure as RN ior PA n State of Tennessee.
Eligible for Certificate of Fitness (Prescriptive privileges) in State of Tennessee required. ACLS required, ATCN, ATLS strongly recommended.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS : ##Constant walking, standing; lifting and positioning patients / equipment; exposure to infectious agents.
Visual acuity is needed to access color changes. #Heavy Work - Exerting up to 150 pounds of force occasionally and / or up to 75 pounds of force frequently and / or up to 30 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
