Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Digital and analog hardware circuit design.
- Design maintenance / modification / optimization across a product life time.
- Performs dimensional tolerances checks and stack-up analysis.
- Develops and changes bill of materials (BOMs) as required.
- Performs product testing as required.
- Assists in checking mechanical drawings and BOMs for accuracy and / or ECO approval.
- Assists in the engineering lab as required to complete validate testing.
- Assists in the development of product technical manuals and sales literature.
- Perform and present gated design reviews with both internal staff, as well as with customers at specific times in the design lifecycle of components.
- Other essential duties may be assigned as required.
Desired Characteristics :
- Schematic and layout tools (Altium Designer or similar).
- Knowledge of complete hardware electronics product life cycle, from concept to production.
- FPGA coding capability using VHDL or Verilog is a plus.
- Knowledge of Python / Perl for automatic product testing, data collection and analysis is an advantage.
- Experience in using lab equipment like oscilloscope, logic analyzer, thermal chamber, power supply etc.
- Excellent communication skills in verbal and written.
