The Task Force for Global Health is recruiting for a Project Manager to support its newest program, the Migration Health Initiative (MHI).

This position will support MHI’s initial portfolio of activities related to supporting adult hepatitis B vaccination among refugees, immigrants, and migrants in the United States.

Project activities will include engagement with community and public health partners, qualitative data collection, creation of culturally and linguistically appropriate health communications, toolkit development, and dissemination.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Directs the planning, development, and operations of a program with the Task Force for Global Health.
  • Collaborates with representatives from private, government, and international agencies.
  • Plans, executes, and monitors program budgets, including approval of expenditures; prepares annual financial and program reports to external parties with interests in the program.
  • May engage in fundraising initiatives on behalf of the program.
  • Ensures that the program is in compliance with federal and international laws and regulations.
  • Oversees program communications, including development of communications strategies, development of key program messages, production of print and electronic materials, and reputation management.
  • Represents the program in various national and international fora, and actively engages with representatives from other NGO's for purposes of conducting research and designing new initiatives.
  • May supervise program staff.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Project Implementation :

  • Coordinate day-to-day project operations and monitor project timelines to ensure deliverables are met according to schedule and budget
  • Establishes priorities, develops work plans, tracks and reports progress; meets associated deadlines
  • Serve as primary point of contact for external partners and vendors
  • Maintain detailed and well-organized project records in Google Drive
  • Respond to general project inquiries, escalating and delegating more complex inquiries as needed
  • Support project monitoring and evaluation, including tracking monthly project metrics
  • Prepare quarterly reports
  • Support key informant interviews and focus groups, including note-taking and overseeing the transcription process through an external vendor
  • Coordinate the sending and receipt of translated materials to / from an external vendor and community reviewers and process files for publishing as needed
  • Oversee project travel arrangements and ensure travel aligns with organization and funder policies
  • Manage Zoom registrations and logistics for webinars
  • Participates in resolution of project management related issues

Resource Management :

  • Creates and manages contracts for projects and consultants
  • Manages and monitors budgets, including overall program budget
  • Creates and submits invoices
  • Works with financial management staff to provide information for financial reports
  • Helps to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures

Collaboration :

  • Schedule and facilitate regular meetings with project team and external partners
  • Build and maintain excellent relationships with project funder, external partners, fellow TFGH programs, and project team
  • Coordinate logistics for in-person meetings

Other Responsibilities :

  • Participates fully as a member of the Task Force for Global Health by contributing, assisting and participating in projects, activities, and initiatives as requested by management
  • Represent the Program in different activities like conferences, meetings, contact with stakeholders or activities assigned by the supervisor

Travel :

Up to 20% domestic and / or international travel might be required

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

Bachelor's degree in field related to specific program as indicated and six years program related experience, or equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Demonstrated project management experience including creating project plans and managing budgets
  • Experience working with refugees, immigrants, and / or migrant communities
  • Experience working with products written in languages other than English

NOTE : This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs.

Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines of department. This role requires residency in the state of GA. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
