One of the world's largest and most successful market making high-frequency trading firms is actively looking to grow their Linux Systems Engineering team in their Austin, TX office.
This is a global team that builds, maintains, and supports their low-latency trading infrastructure, heavily utilizing automation.
This is a tight-knit team with around 15 members globally, at a company who puts their engineering culture first, and has a highly collaborative environment.
You will need to be a true Linux expert with the ability to work through the entire stack, including tuning the kernel with an emphasis on speed and performance.
Along with that, the team is leveraging a lot of automation, primarily using Python and Ansible. If you are looking to make the next step in your career to work amongst a lean and high visibility team, where you can grow your technical skillset, this is the team for you.
This role is hybrid, 3 days a week in the office, out of Austin, TX.
Technical Requirements
- 7-10 years of relevant experience
- Strong Python and Ansible skills
- Expert level Linux knowledge (Red Hat environment)
- Knowledge of networking protocols and topology
- Kernel tuning experience
- BIOS configuration
- Ability to communicate clearly with business stakeholders
- Bachelors degree preferred but not required
