HR and Payroll Analyst (Stockton, CA)
LHH is in search of a dynamic Human Resources and Payroll Analyst for a Property Management company in Stockton, CA. This direct hire role will report fully on-site.
As a pivotal figure within the organization, the successful candidate will play a vital role in upholding compliance with state and federal regulations, employment laws, and fostering a culture of meticulous workforce management.
The ideal candidate has at least 5 years’ experience in Human Resources, 2+ years’ experience in Payroll, and a degree in Business / Accounting / Human Resources, or a related field.
Fluency in Spanish is a huge plus!
Responsibilities : Payroll :
Payroll :
Enter employee information and changes into the payroll system with precision, covering attendance, time and labor entries, salary adjustments, and relevant changes.
Oversee all facets of employee payroll for approximately 170+ employees, ensuring prompt processing and accurate payments.
Professionally handle and resolve employee payroll queries.
Leave of Absence and Benefits Oversight :
Prepare Leave of Absence information (FMLA / CFRA) and track employee leaves.
Manage employee benefits, including health insurance plans, retirement plans, and vacation / sick leave policies.
Assist with enrollment changes and collaborate with vendors for the seamless administration of benefit programs .
Compliance Adherence and Reporting :
Stay informed about and comply with changes in labor regulations, updating policies and procedures accordingly.
Ensure adherence to ACA, EEOC, and OSHA reporting requirements.
Report, track, and communicate with employees and insurance companies for Workers’ Compensation claims.
New Employee Onboarding Facilitation :
Craft employment offers and facilitate new employee onboarding procedures.
Special Projects and Support :
Collaborate on special projects as needed, providing support to the Controller.
Offer assistance to management for employee payroll-related inquiries and information requests.
Qualifications :
5+ years’ experience in Human Resources and 2+ years’ experience in Payroll
A Bachelor's degree in Business / Accounting / Human Resources or related field is strongly preferred.
Software : Adobe, Paylocity, and Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.
In-depth knowledge of Federal and State Employment laws.
Preferred bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
Exceptional discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
Must be dog friendly!
Hours : Full-time, regular business hours
Salary : $60,000 $75,000 / year, depending on experience
