Job Title : Mammogram Technologist
Location : San Antonio, TX
Compensation :
- Salary range from $26.85 - $36.91 based on years of experience.
- Weekend Differentials : $6.50.
- On Call Compensation : $5.00.
- Sign-On Bonus (SOB) : $5,000.
- Relocation expenses paid out on the 2 / 3rd check with a 2-year commitment.
Shifts Available :
- Full-Time Days (7-10 hours / rotating weekends)
- Full-Time Evenings (7-10 hours / weekdays only)
- Shift 8-5
Minimum Education, Experience, and Certification :
- High School graduate or GED preferred.
- Graduate of an accredited school of radiology or 10+ years of experience in modality required.
- Certification as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT).
- Current CPR certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support.
General Requirements :
- Minimum of 2 years of outpatient experience.
- Strong proficiency in mammography techniques and procedures.
- Knowledge and adherence to safety protocols in radiology.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities :
- Perform mammographic examinations and produce high-quality images for interpretation by radiologists.
- Ensure patient comfort and provide clear instructions throughout the imaging process.
- Maintain and operate mammography equipment, ensuring its proper functioning and reporting any issues promptly.
- Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and protocols to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a seamless patient experience.
- Document and maintain accurate patient records, including relevant medical history and examination details.
- Stay informed about advancements in mammography technology and participate in ongoing professional development.
- Assist in the training and supervision of new technologists or students, as needed.
