Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Special Education or related field (Masters preferred)
- Valid New Jersey teaching certification in Special Education
- Experience working with adolescents, preferably in an inpatient or therapeutic setting
- Strong understanding of individualized education programs (IEPs) and special education laws
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Patience, empathy, and a commitment to student growth and development
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students
- Deliver tailored instruction to meet the unique needs of each student
- Collaborate with therapists, counselors, and healthcare staff to ensure a holistic approach to student development
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching methods as needed
- Provide a supportive, structured classroom environment that fosters academic success and emotional well-being
- Communicate regularly with parents / guardians regarding student progress
- Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding special education
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities
Location : Pinebrook, NJ
Job Type : Part Time
Schedule : 9 : 30am - 12 : 30pm
Pay : $30,000 - $35,000 per year
