AGC Electronics America (AGCEA) manufactures high-purity Silicon Carbide (SiC) Ceramics materials and CMP Slurries for the semiconductor industry.
We also serve as a distributor for other AGC Electronics Materials manufactured in Japan and elsewhere. We are headquartered in Hillsboro, Oregon, USA, and are a division of AGC Flat Glass North America.

- $57,000 - $70,000 annually

About The Role
Required Qualifications :
- Associate’s degree in science or other safety or environmental field
- Demonstrated experience with presentations and public speaking
- 1+ years’ experience in a manufacturing or laboratory environment or applicable safety role
- Intermediate or higher-level competency using MS Excel and other MS Office applications
- Strong, proven communication skills, both oral and written
- Proven, strong organizational and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications :
- OSHA 30 General Industry
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, environmental science, engineering or other safety related field
- Associate Safety Professional (ASP) certification from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals
- Previous education, experience, volunteerism, or skillset in safety
Responsibilities :
- Performs daily and weekly facility inspections using defined compliance checklists
- Coordinates new hire and annual compliance trainings (Powered Industrial Trucks, LOTO, Confined Space, etc.)
- Participates in AGC Electronics America Safety Committee
- Issues, deactivates, and administers temporary and guest badges
- Monitors Envoy system for onsite visitors
- Assists EHS&S Program Manager and Production Management in Accident Investigations and Corrective Actions
- Performs annual fit testing and monitors respiratory protection program
- Assists in Employee Evacuations (drills) under the direction of the EHS&S Program Manager
- May be required to monitor building perimeter for safety, coordinate initial safety meetings with contractors prior to their coming on site, ensure visitor compliance with safety attestation and confidentiality agreements;
and manage safety certification, confined space access programs, and all PPE programs including safety glasses and safety shoes
- Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and employees at all levels of the organization with a special focus on Operations and Facilities
- Compiles monthly and annual environmental and safety data into reports used for compliance and regulatory reporting
- Assists in evacuation drills and maintains evacuation rosters
- Serves as initial contact for visitors, guests, and contractors arriving at the facility
