Job Description At Allison-Smith, project managers are involved in every phase of construction, from design (design-build and design-assist) through to project completion.

Our projects span commercial, electrical, industrial, mechanical engineering, modular solutions, technology, and telecommunications.

Some of our project managers are licensed professional engineers, providing an opportunity for unlicensed managers to learn and grow through peer interactions.

We support this growth with regular peer mentoring, weekly project manager meetings, monthly financial reviews, and semi-annual employee reviews.

Role and Responsibilities The ideal candidate will oversee : all phases of electrical work, encompassing project acquisition (including layout and design using AutoCAD, bidding, managing billing and material purchasing, constructability analysis, design review scheduling, value engineering, site logistics review, pre-fabrication planning, estimating strategy, cost / proposal development, negotiation, value engineering, site logistics review, pre-fabrication planning), project preconstruction (team development, planning, procurement), project construction (scheduling, team / relationship building, change management, issue resolution, cost projections, billing), project close-out (final documentation, owner training, contract reconciliation, final billing) Manage team of up to four project managers.

Required qualifications and skills : Ability to plan, communicate, and execute strategies with a team Construction documents Electrical codes knowledge Effective verbal, written, and organizational skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Keen attention to detail Problem-solving skills Strong business acumen in project planning and management Integrity, leadership, and decision-making with good judgment Strong critical thinking abilities Strong interpersonal communication and relationship-building abilities Training and Development As a project manager, you'll be trained to develop an entrepreneurial approach to managing a range of commercial, mission critical, and industrial electrical construction projects.
