About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse Job Specialty : ICU Float Pool Job Duration : 15 Weeks Shift : Night 3x12-Hour (19 : 00 - 07 : 30) Guaranteed Hours : Experience : Minimum 3 years, large hospital experience required.
Will accept first-time travelers with minimum 3 years of experience. License : Valid permanent California license must be in hand at time of submission.
Certifications : Required : ACLS, BLS, NIH; Preferred : CCRN Must-Have : Vents, IV start, ICP, tele, conscious sedation Job Description : Opportunity to work in an ICU Float Pool, floating to multiple units including MS / Tele / PCU / overflow units when needed.
- Expectations to float within the ICU units covering various specialties such as neuro, respiratory failure and vent support, acute myocardial infarction, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and transplant.
- Nurses should have exposure to transplant patient populations as the facility is a comprehensive transplant center.- Will be required to familiarize with the unit details applicable to each ICU unit.
- Preferred skills include Level I Trauma, Charge experience, and PA Lines.- Candidates with strong cardiac, neuro, and trauma experience will be prioritized.
- COVID-19 and Flu vaccines are mandatory with no exemptions.- Will float to units like Overflow PACU, and other MS / Tele / PCU, Stepdown.
- The orientation comprises 12 hours and is part of the onboarding process.- Candidates must be flexible and willing to float within hospital as needed.
- Return staff policy requires previous employees to be gone for 24 months before considering travel positions.- Epic charting experience is highly preferred.
