JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary / Objective :

Essential Functions :

The Controller will oversee the accounting processes and procedures. Work with internal and external auditors to ensure we are compliant in all areas.

This position will run quarterly physical inventories and maintain reporting. The controller will prepare financial statements monthly for review and make sure other month end reporting is completed accurately and timely.

  • Work with auditors to ensure all information is supplied
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly reports and reconciliations
  • Ensure policies and procedures are up to date and in compliance with SOX
  • Train and follow up with all departments on compliance.
  • Follow all financial laws and guidelines.
  • Perform other duties assigned with full accountability.
  • Run the quarterly physical inventories effectively.
  • Manage standard operating procedures and policies
  • Prepare timely and accurate financial statements monthly

Supervisory Responsibility :

Work Environment :

This job operates in a professional office setting within a manufacturing environment. This position is available for a hybrid work environment.

In office will be required during audits and other times when face-to-face communication is required. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as telephones, computers, printers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones, printers and noise from manufacturing equipment). This list is not all inclusive.

Physical Demands :

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard.

The employee may be required to lift / move up to 50 pounds.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work :

This is a full-time position and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 a.m. to 5 : 00 p.m. Due to the nature and demands of this role, flexibility is required to work outside normal business hours of 8 : 00 a.m. to 5 : 00 p.m.

Travel : Less than 10%

Required Education and Experience :

  • Bachelor's Degree (Accounting / Finance) from a four-year college or university
  • 8 - 10 year's related experience
  • Experience with SOX compliance.
  • 3 -5 years Supervisory experience

Preferred Education and Experience :

  • Experience in publicly traded company a plus
  • Experience in SAGE 100 highly preferred
